Good headlines. Poor facts.



Dusk to dawn curfew imposed as Chile's looters run wild (includes video)

If you visit the Times you will note that what they are calling "looters" are in fact people searching for food and supplies amongst the rubble. The lesson learned here is that even when one is prepared there will remain people who are not fully prepared for several days of a lack of service. Also, in such devastation even the prepared citizen might have his supplies destroyed in the earthquake.

I was listening to the Prepper Podcast and the host suggested that a tornado could also destroy all of one's prep supplies. I'm not sure what one can do other than to keep supplies in more than one location so that hopefully half will remain if one site is destroyed.
